Can you give me an example of what you mean when you say you discoverthe root of the behavior? How does that change the treatment?
Sure. Forexample, if a child is having a tantrum out of a desire for control, it can be helpfulto provide them with limited choices (such as cereal or eggs for breakfast), andleave them feeling empowered. If the tantrum is due to sensory overload, different methods must be utilized. The cause of the maladaptive behavior mustbe identified to employ solutions that work.
Are you in-touch with my child’s other providers?
Absolutely, we believe in a whole-child approach. We are happy to discuss your child’s care with speech therapists, occupational therapists, school counselors, and teachers to make sure that your child is receiving connected care
